This is one of the many reasons why I bought an IS back in 2003.

The designers of this car must have had a eureka moment when they envisioned this more than a decade ago.

The 300ZX is a pretty car also, despite Clarkson calling it a fat Datsun.

The Japanese know what pleases the eye.

11 years old?

Add another couple to that, the first Altezza's were produced in 98.

If they didn't make such a balls up of the 2nd gen,in the asthetics, we would have a modern classic.

From the A pillar forward I see a slight hint of the 1st gen,the rest looks like a panzer (BMW) and Mazda just copied it with their 6.

2nd gen just looks rubbish compared to the 1st gen in my opinion...

When I bought my IS, I could have gotten an IS250 if I had wanted to... but I really didn't want to.

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

How could they have got it so wrong with the 2nd gen?

It is a horrible looking car.

The IS F does not redeem it in any way.

FFS Lexus, you had a classic in your hands and you moulded a monster.

^ agree with all above. 2nd gen has absolutely no individuality. If I was to move on from my 1st gen I have no idea what I'd get but it certainly wouldn't be a 220/250 Sad
