Having problems with the fuel gauge needle sticking or not moving at all.
Noticed it the other week when it stuck after filling up, flicked the plastic cover and nothing happened, after awhile it moved back up.
A couple of days ago it happened again, this time i had to pull up switch the engine off then back on to 2nd position which made the needle move to correct position.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this keeps happening????

i had a similar problem when i filled the car the gauge wouldnt move for 2-3 days then when it was empty it would stop at the 1/4 mark so i never really new how much fuel i had.

what i did was go into the tank and pull the fuel pump out slightly and put it back in after checking everything was ok, since then my gauge has worked fine

try that and see if that works you never no it might help

IS200? Sorry I forget what your driving lol. My IS200 had this issue when I 1st bought it, solved by filling the tank fully for the next 2 or 3 fills. There have been one or 2 others with these symptoms.

Need to know what car. IS200s calculate fuel usage VERY differently to most cars.

IS200. For sure.

Is the empty light flashing? It does this if there is a problem detected in the fuel sender circuit.

The car is a Lexus is200 sport.

The fuel light has not come on, but it did the first time it stuck, even though i knew there was still half a tank.
