Hi guys,

I woke up this morning to find I had a lovely flat tyre on my is200! so after thinking it over on the good old public transport I might just invest in some new aftermarket wheels... but got a few roadblocks...

If I get the standard 17"x7" wheels and then get a wide arch kit later on, wouldn't that look odd and what about fitting a wheel spacer isn't that just a cheap way round?

Or would I be better off just getting wider wheels (say 8" instead of 7"?) and just getting a set of arch extenders?

AND... what size wheel would I be better off getting.. AND where the hell sells just arch extenders rather than just a full body kit? The only wide arch body kit I've found doesn't look that nice... and for now is just too expensive if I get four brand new wheels and tyres!

Any ideas guys? I'm currently tearing my hair out as I've just had lots of bad luck lately!

Yeah I've got the charge speed fronts
But the backs are just universal arches that I'm moulding to fit. It's a bit of hassle but exactly what I want.

There is an arch set in America but its fairly rare and only about 2cm extra I think.

8 inch wheels will go under standard arches anyway I believe. You may need a little rolling but no stretching.

8J should be fine with no arch work, with standard suspension. If you want to go low then they may not clear. I have 8.5J to fit and am planning to lower 40-45mm, am hoping I won't need arch rolling... but probably will!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Thanks guys.

Well, I bought some new wheels the other day, standard sizes as I'm not too fussed about going that much bigger, as the car will be lowered as I'll eventually get some new coilovers for her.

I thought that I can't really afford to get bigger width wheels AND arches, and I'm not too fussed if the arches are wide anyway.. it'll probably cause more weight and drag than anything anyway... plus I can't find a decent body kit that just looks right to me! Tongue
