Brake fluid change
Brake fluid change
How much will I need for a complete change,
And what's the best way to do it?
2 lrt max...
get a mate too sit in the car and give 15 pumps per caliper checking the level after each caliper...and remember on the last pump hold the pedal down then tighten the niple
he will not thank you........his leg will be killing him...lol
i was told to start at the furthest corner away from the resovoir is this true
nope doesnt make any odds matey start at what ever one you want..
Rather than starting a new thread thought id post here.
Im changing discs and pads all round this weekend so thought i may as well get the brake fluid changed bleed the brakes etc. Also replacing a poxy sticking front caliper with a recon one.
I read above that Ormi says 2 litres max to change the fluid, i was told up to 5 litres! I've also used the search function and found most of you recommend DOT 5.1. I'm not trying to cut corners, but the discs, pads, caliper plus handbrake shoes cost a bit and was wondering if DOT4 would suffice?
I'm putting on standard genuine parts all round, I have no power mods so would i really benefit from DOT 5.1 as opposed to DOT4? And you definitely think if i ordered 3 litres that would be enough?
What about Goodridge hoses? Been looking at these too. Anything i should check out/replace or use while i'm at it?
5 lrts your kidding..I do changes day in day out and day in...can you imagin the customers reaction at the price using 5 lrts..trust me 2 lrts is more than enough!!
