I do have the AFR gauge to keep an eye on things. Currently my LC-1/wideband lambda isn't connected to the e-Manage, though we can always change that.
Bear in mind that in the days before O2 sensors, this is the way all cars used to run anyway !

02-04-2017, 12:21 AM #1,092The stock ECU will just use its pre-programmed map. If something went really wrong on a stock setup, the ECU probably wouldn't be able to compensate enough anyway, and you wouldn't notice it with no AFR gauge.

Not sure I'd feel too happy running EFI with no O2 sensor to be perfectly honest, especially not on a blown engine.Edit: A quick google suggests that it's as simple as connecting the white wire from the e-manage AFR harness to the white wire from the LC-1 and then configuring the sensor in the e-manage itself (you have to configure a voltage range, i.e. 10-22.5 or suchlike). I reckon putting O2 simulators on the stock ECU and then getting the e-manage to control AFR should be a pretty good solution.
Ah I was under the impression that the wideband was connected to more than just the AFR gauge... my mistake! Don't even know of the e-manage can run wideband actually.

02-04-2017, 12:42 AM #1,094Yeah you can connect the LC-1 to the e-Manage. I'm not sure if the e-Manage can use this to adjust the fuelling while it's running though, as opposed to just coming up with a base map ? I'll take a look at the manual.

If you connect the white wire from the LC-1 it will run as a narrow band sensor for the e-manage to understand. As to whether it will affect the map is down to how it has been set up. The e-manage has the capability to run as a closed loop system and monitor the AFR as per the stock ecu.

08-04-2017, 05:29 AM #1,097Just took the car for an MoT. It sailed through, the only advisory was for my engine check light being on, which is just the code for the O2 sensor after the cat, which I already knew about.
