Lexus Is200 SE Project
Lexus Is200 SE Project
Today was a bad day...
I was out sliding around before work and bang, ide ran out of fuel!
No biggie, i went got some fuel and filled her up.
Not that simple. My Immobilizer has kicked in and shut the car completely down. It will crank but will not turnover :/ Ive been reading up on it and it seems to be, not common, but does happen. Anyone else experienced it?
I got the AA guy out coz he had more tools than me and together we tested every fuse and every possible failure. Only thing we came out with was there was no power going to the fuel pump, therefore no fuel being fed and so on...
So after that we realized the immobilizer was not shutting off. :Sulk:
So i got towed to my local garage where a good guy is going to have a look at it but may not be able to help, in which case off to Lexus she goes!
I was hoping maybe one of you guys had some knowledge on the issue and could possibly help me out!? Any advise/knowledge/wisdom etc etc is more than welcome!
My silver lining is my sat nav unit arrived today
Cheers

hmm does def sound like the immobilser mate, unfortunately Bahamutcars has gone so im struggling to find the diagnostics procedure to reset.
Yeah thanks for Trying mate, I appreciate it! I found one on my is which was rediculous! Way beyond my skills and probably a bit pikey, so I would rather it go to Lexus. Better get myself ready for a big bill!
This is the one I found for the reset:

Jon Has it? Gutted!!
I'm wondering if its worth getting in touch with the site owner, and getting the manuals sent over via email instead?
