sorry just my brain fixed on higher power levels and gte setups. but yeah the 58 would be the sensible option for the ge engine i always forget about the w58.
the tunnel does not require cutting for the v160 with the right fixing kit and a shorter shifter arm it fits in a 2jzis

is300_dino if all you after is 211bhp just turbo or supercharge you current engine

The standard 6 speed with upgraded clutch be fine for supercharged or turbo?

what other things would need to be done? (internal upgrades/head gasket etc for supercharged or turbo)

which one is the cheapest to get done....and if so is there any companies that sell a complete conversion kit?

cheers Smile

For the supercharger upgrade you won't even need an upgraded clutch, everything can stay stock as it's only an extra 50hp.

The TTE supercharger kit is the only one worth getting, and that comes with the piggyback unit.

They normally go for around £2000 although I personally wouldn't pay more than £1600 as they are getting old and people are getting close to being able to copy the kit for a lot less.

I'd still sell the IS200 and buy an IS300, can't be much in it price wise between supercharging a 200 and converting the IS300 to manual.

el_bandido why would you put a getrag in a 215hp car? ............

careful where you are going with this one Koss Wink remember i have a getrag and only 230ish bhp currently anyways

Regarding the original question I would have thought you would need to make significant modification to the transmission tunnel on an IS300 to convert it to manual + you will need a custom prop shaft I would have thought and depending on what you plan on doing mod wise get the R154 not the W58......imo unless you are planning on going NA-T on the GE engine imo there's really no point.

Personally having seen/heard Sam_B's IS200 i'd go down his road of a 1JZ-GTE and R154 box, this will give you around 350-400bhp on the stock twin-turbos with basic mods e.g. FMIC/fuel pump/injectors/decat/3" exhaust.

It all comes down to what you are looking for power wise?

you do not need to cut the tunnel at all, apparently toyota sequoia driveshafts line up like they were MADE for this. absolute perfect length. great piece. and with a nice flex joint towards the front and is a quote from my.is. getrag boxes in to a 300 all you need to know in this link. http://my.is/forums/f114/6-speed-all-inf...nd-410664/
