Tonight the bumper was finished, really happy with how its turned out. Think its made the rear end look a lot "sportier" and made the wheels look more suited also.

Bumper rubbed down ready to allow the paint to stick

All masked up ready

You will notice the fine blue masking tape this is fine line tape it gives a very nice crisp line, masking tape is ok but leave the edge fuzzy and doesn't look very OEM, this stuff leave the edge perfect, is also bends very nicely so you can work with it well to make shapes

Lower bumper all painted

Bumper built up and fitted

Back outside ready to go, cars filthy but think you should get the idea of how it looks now

Thank you, fancy getting a bit more power out of the car next to match the looks but after lots of reading over the last few months I've come up with no affordable way of timing this engine in the UK

I've been looking at doing the same with my is220d but there's nothing that makes financial sense... That's why there's going to be a new addition very soon :w00t:

Wow very tidy! Loving that diffuser on the back. And another vouch for Prodip Hydrographics if you ever want to go down that dipping route of touching things up be it interior or engine bay. I'm now hooked thanks to the club sponsor! Just got a new part fitted yesterday at Japfest. Need to add that to my thread!
Great build thread so far Smile

Cheers mate, as a qualified painter I would usually paint things myself but will check out prodip and see if anything tickles my fancy.

Been a bit hectic since joining as I'm supposed to be on holiday so Mrs has lots of things I'm supposed to be doing with her but once I get a proper minute I will sit down and check a few of these build threads out, seems a great bunch on here with some nice cars

Got me a bit of a plan involving the prodip!

On IS250 the F-Sport gear knob looks like this

[Image: lexus-presents-2010-is-350c-f-sport-spec...tion_9.jpg]

As you will see the knob looks very good but doesn't match the rest of the interior at all.

I am looking to take my gear surround, and 2 window switch surrounds shown below

Have them dipped in carbon fibre to match the knob, I will then get an old friend to re-create the logo below in the same colour as the logo on top of the gear knob

The idea would be to have the guys dip the interior plastics with carbon fibre, then before they are lacquered or whatever they do. Then apply the vinyl and lacquer over it to replicate the same style as the gear knob, that way the logo will be under the vinyl, wont get marked and will look completely OEM

The logo would go in each position shown below:
