Hey Dean (?) , the reason I am leaning towards getting the BMW style control in addition to touchscreen is when I'm driving along. The buttons for changing volume / skipping tracks / changing playlists etc. With the controller I can do it without looking at the screen and keep my eyes on the road
Plus, it's another gadget to add to the list, haha, not like the car really needs it!
Steering wheel controls can be integrated into the car pc using a interface was something I looked into the module needed if doing steering controll of a car pc is a joycon ex
This take the resistive loads from independent switches and allows you to customise the outputs to operate volume track search switching sources etc I have one for ians car here just not got round to fitting it yet....
Thats an interesting bit of kit there Rabs, do other Lexus steering wheels fit straight on? (that have wheel controls).
quick update, and some questions as usual.
Gave the car a good going over Sat/Sun. full wash and detail using Poorboys black hole and paste wax, then some supergaurd wheel shine & protector. looks very nice ill try and snap some pics today as it was dark yesterday when I finished!! Compared to the MR2 the Lex is massive and takes much longer to clean!
Questions today - The roof aerial - Has anyone fitted, or looked into the shark fin style? I have seen some on eBay for reasonable money. I want to do something with it, as the current one looks a bit of an eye sore to me and this should add more of a modern touch.
Matt
Has anyone done much with Carbon Fibre? be it the real deal, or just a wrap? I have always been tempted with it, but am not sure. Just been having my daily browse on eBay for "stuff" and got side tracked by the weavy goodness.
Was just looking at the carbon fibre mirror covers, rear window spoilers, centre grills, door handles, gear surrounds....the list is endless. it could be an expensive game to get into aswell which is the worry hehe!
Any comments / experience welcome
