toxo Would've been helpful if you'd mentioned that  TTE make compressor kits for all sorts of cars.
Anyway, by adding a PFC you're doing the second most expensive modification insurance wise.

How many times have I told you about the TTE charger kit for the IS200
But yes everyone this is a rolla
I may phone flux and see what they would say about a charger for me
Performance direct were cheapest last year, sky this year.
Never understand insurance
Here is really good. No hassle.
UK well thats a different story. Skyline needed to be insured for my trip back for a few weeks. Rung up my old company as it had only just lapsed anyway and had been insured with them with me out the country for the past two years and with them for about 7 in total.
Anyway wouldn't insure me, something about they wouldn't take on the risk.
Dad rang them back the next day added modification that I didn't (yes didnt have) he didn't no the difference between a boost controller and turbo timer and they insure me.
Go figure that.
I'm having similar problems, they are saying that an intercooler will increase the power of my car and that charging my car would increase the risk. To which I answered it's already charged i just want a cooling system. Now they're under the impression I've charged the car when it's like that standard :S
the problem is its a legal requirement, thats regulated and controlled by private firms. license to print money
Well, that's what you get for using Admiral. They are fine for totally bog standard, run of the mill cars. I don't mean standard as in unmodified, just 'average' cars. Unfortunately they do have a tendancy to allow you to insure other cars via their online system without them really understanding what they're insuring. To this end (with any online quote) you should always back it up by phoning them for confirmation.
I had a great one recently where someone offered me a sub £500 figure for insurance, phoned up to confirm it and they realised their underwriter had changed their terms and their website wasn't updated (previously required accident history for 3 years, changed to 5 years). The new terms took my insurance quote to £800.
Adrian Flux insured me on my IS200 for £410 FC. At renewal time, they quoted me £410 for the car standard (well with Coilovers and Exhaust), and when I phoned them to add the Charger, they offered the same cover, all mods declared for the same price!
In the past 3 years, I think the price has only gone up by about £50, so I can't fault them really.
