I asked them the same question myself, e.g. about how it will be able to be mapped if it isn't run in yet. They're going to run it in a bit themselves, and then when it's mapped Noble will be gentle on it.

Toxo has dug out some fantastic info about connectors which I think he'll post about separately shortly.

But we're pretty certain now that the correct connector is 90980-11153, and that seems to be used for quite a few cars, so I'm hopefully that Toyota will have it in the UK, and not just Japan. I'll find out tomorrow about that.

I still think those connectors I've ordered from the US are the right ones too.

Big thanks to toxo !

Yep, that part number is correct but doesn't include pins. The 'repair wire' pins to go in it (which have wire tails) are 82998-12440

I got the information from a Toyota wiring repair manual, which I've since posted a link to here: http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho...ost&t=2293 (I have hosted it on my own website as I found it on a server in .ru) but be warned it's 414 pages long!

However... the prices are ridiculous so I hope that the ones Steve has ordered are compatible.

Steve, as per my latest email Toyota can get them in for the 4th, at great cost Big Grin

There are several items being fitted to my car by Charlesworth that aren't directly connected to the turbo conversion. One of these is the fitting of some stainless brake lines which I bought ages ago but hadn't got round to fitting yet :o

Some of you might remember a discussion on another forum about how on the IS200 there are two different brake line fittings, depending on the model year, as shown in this diagram :
S-type is on the earliest cars (up to around May 2000), D-type is on all the rest.

I went to some lengths to try and make sure my brake lines had the correct fitting, and indeed the ones I bought did have an S-type fitting to match my 1999 car. However, today I had a call from Charlesworth to say that they didn't fit Sad

The problem wasn't the fitting type though, the thread on the fitting actually was the wrong pitch, it was too coarse. So I've contacted the people who sold me the brake lines, and I'm hopefully going to get them altered so that they have the right fitting.

As I said, this is nothing to do with the turbo conversion (apart from improved braking helping when you've got improved power !), so even though hopefully I'll get it sorted, it's no big deal if it takes a bit longer and I do it separately.

Good shout, too many times I've seen people concentrate on massive power increases and not thinking about slowing down Big Grin As you know I am concentrating on similar right now.

Marsdendean Have you received a costing yet steve - anything which may need doing along the process??

Sorry Dean I missed this question. They haven't quoted me a fixed price for the work, but they have given me an estimate which sounds very reasonable. Is that what you were asking ?

Indeed, the Toyota prices are pretty steep. I think we've probably got time for me to see how the ones from the US look (I'm pretty confident they'll work), and in the event that they aren't the right sort then I'll have to bite the bullet and pay Toyota's prices.
