Jimbobs Lexus IS200 Turbo!
Jimbobs Lexus IS200 Turbo!
I think it goes from the pipe at the back of the engine, through the throttle body, through the cooler to the engine, you can go direct from the throttle body to the engine. or cut the throttle out as well and go direct to the engine from the back pipe.
Just did some checking and It comes straight from the pipe at the back you can see here
In the top left picture, the throttle comes from the pipe that comes from the fitting on the back of the engine the lower outlet.
That works out well I can use the water feed and return then for my turbo as it water and oil cooled cheers for pics they help a lot!
Also arp bolts arrived today so head fitted tomoz anyone know how much u need to take off front studs so they don't interfere????
Take off?
Previously when I mentioned about the arp studs for the head someone mentioned that the two front studs need to be cut shorter or they will be too high for the camshafts??? Or am I going mad lol
I don't know mate, I didn't have to one the gte head.
Well ill find out today when I finish work ill get cracking on with that! Also got to drill the sump for the turbo oil return then I can get that fitted back on starting to look like a engine again lol
Right i have gone to fit the new arp bolts to fit the head and this is the problem so far lol for starter the bolts once screwed in finger tight and washer and nut fitted will not be in safety
With this i take it just back the stud off till in safety???
Secondary there is no way i am going to be to get a socket in the gap!! i tried to get just the start of the socket through and that does not fit so an extended socket is not gonna work! any idea's only thing that i can think off is bore the whole so the socket fits????
That's all I did with the gte, is back it off till its flush with the top of the nut.
As for the socket, you need a 3/8 multi point 12mm socket, should fit straight in.
1/4 won't be able to pull the torque and will shear, and 1/2 will be too big.
I can send you mine I'd you want to borrow it? I've also got a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter so you can attach the torque wrench still.
