Ahh mate, that was down to user error, have something called sb settings, a single swipe left and you can toggle everything (phone, 3g, wifi, bluetooth) And 3G and Phone were off.

Isn't that just flight mode? Why do you need a separate thing to do that, surely the option must exist somewhere?

Buts its simpler than going through the menus.

i have the same thing you can have alsorts on the menu, i find it good when ive been abroad to easily turn the internet stuff off, you can also toggle wifi, bluetooth, etc, even weather screens rotate when you turn the phone

On the galaxy s you swipe down and select flight mode simple

the notification bar on the galaxy is standard where as the ip4 you have to jailbreak and get the app

Also flight mode on the IP4 turns GPS off, On a flight you can use GPS as it does not send out signals, the galaxy s, when activated does not turn the GPS off

THe thing is about the IP as a whole is that everyone seems to think its the best of the best and cause everyone else has one you have to have one, thats how Apple promotes itself not the phone itself but using it as a sort of cosmetic thing "oohh is that an iphone?" was the common.............

At the end of the day, other companies are shooting down Apple.

Think about how can you have a phone these days with no microsd slot? or bluetooth file transfer as standard, or use micro sim cards instead of normal sized, so when you buy a sim you got to cut it to make it fit, or the fact you need a pin to release the sim card?

As good as the phone people think, its missing very basic stuff, which is just plain stupid....

Bluetooth file transfer is turned off for a reason.
Having a pin to release the sim tray is better than having a pull tab or having to take the back off.

Why is bluetooh turned off?

And there is more intutive ways in removing a sim from a phone, then having to stick a pin in?

its like you resetting someting instead...
