Major problems with my blue Lexus x-reg is200 sport (my baby)

Had a car crash last friday.....lost the back end in the wet going around a roundabout! **** & ****** my self!!!!!! Because there was a build up of traffic plus a pelican crossing which two people were waiting to cross.
I slammed the brakes on, the two people heard the tires screeching looked in my direction and jumped back as the back end drifted passed them missing them by inches....did a 180 into an island and lamp post.....the post nearly landed on a car on the opposite side of the road. Think it was definately lucky i didn't kill anyone and didn't hit another car. Had the car towed back home had one of my mates take a look at it.....the damage is as follows:

1. New left hand side door
2. New bottom left TRD skirt
3. New 17 inch five spoke alloy
4. New wish bone
5. New left hand side suspendtion
6. 4 New tires (cam skills website sounds like a good idea)
7. Chasis attention not sure how much yet
8. Tracking, engine check, headlight realinement

Been quoted roughly about £5000.00 so far, would work out cheaper if i could source all the parts myself so if anyone can help i would be forever in your debt!!!!

Not sure whether to keep the car after fixed....its the first time i've had a crash so pretty shook up, not ready to get behind the wheel yet....might just get a skateboard, bus pass or railcard.....lol

Sorry to hear about your accident.
Glad no one was hurt.

Sorry but the car not worth fixing at that sort of money.
You could purchase a 2003 model year for that sort of money.

Sorry to hear about your crash, is this via insurance or are you paying for this privately? Sounds like far too big a repair to do yourself?

As above it would be cheaper to just buy another car than repair at that cost, although you should be able to get parts from breakers and ebay to dramatically decrease the costs.

Hope you get it sorted Smile

Not informed insurance, going to get it fixed privately.....then take it from there, already sourced the wishbone, ball arm joint, door and alloy, just talked to mechanic he said axle is fine and so is the chasis, he has also done the tracking......said it's driveable apart from cosmetic damage (dents, deep paint work scratches) otherwise i would have scrapped it....abit of good news for a change!!!!!!!

1. Car crash.
2. Close friends mothers death/funeral.
3. Family member tried committing suicide.

They say bad news comes in 3's.....hit an all time low, depressed is not the word!!!!!......
It's about time i win the lottery or something, LOL

Cheers for the advice....he has checked the cars chasis by measuring+visual.

I'm not a mental midget Lexusboy!!! Like my friend trying to take his life because his wife left him for his best friend....told him to focus on his two daughters and carry on with life!!!

As German philosoper Friedrich Nietzsche said "Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent."
