Can anyone help I need to remove my headlights and I've un done the one bolt on the top of the headlight and the 2 behind the headlight the ones in the wheel arch the headlight near the indicator side feels free but the side towards the grill feels like something is holding it still I'm not taking the bumper off as I've heard you don't need to to get the light out is there some sort of clip holding it? It's a is300 btw can anyone help shed some light on it please

So your tuckin 15's, that's cute but come back to me when you get some proper size wheels

Have you taken the two pins out the top of the grille that clip into the top of the light fitting?

Yh I took all them off I've got the headlights out now took ages n ended up taking the bumper off turned out it was the black plastic things that merely grip the light so no more bolts lol oh well now to open these suckers up lol

Getting them open is very easy but just be careful with the heat. I done my foglights a while back as they had corroded and had condensation.

If you have a heat gun I would recommend using it to apply direct heat to the wee locking tabs, bend them out of the way then in the oven to soften the rest of the glue. Gentle heat, don't let anything get too hot!

Same job for putting them back together, back in the oven to soften the glue, stick back together. You might need to do this more than once just to keep it soft and manageable. Then once you have it back give the tabs a good blast with the heat gun and push them back in place. I finished off by using clear silicone sealant around the join just to make sure it was totally and fully watertight.

Enjoy!

Gave up couldn't get the ballast off the one headlight the screw rounded =( so now onto plan b n get some spare ones and try and split them so I'm not in a rush as much question though do I have to take the self levelling part out too? Or can that survive the oven part lol

So your tuckin 15's, that's cute but come back to me when you get some proper size wheels
