The manual gearbox stuff, the R154 (5 speed) was from the MKIII Supra turbo, V160/V161 (6 speed) from the MKIV Supra Twin Turbo, W58 (5 speed) from the MKIII and MKIV N/A engined.
You'll kill the W58 with the torque, R154 should be fine and it's so much cheaper to get than the V160.
Got to the love the blown UZ lumps, an American company is starting to offer a 2UZ TT

What piggyback unit are you going to run until you get a standalone in there?

Hi mate, yea i will be useing the R154 , i did have one but i sold it as i was low on money and out of work at the time
ad: so im on the look out for one now, but i will be useing the auto box that comes with the V8 for now.as for ECU no piggyback, useing just the ECU that came with the engine + the IS ecu for now, but next year i will be geting a Links ECU to do all the work.
yea i have seen some nive V8 swap on the site lextreme.com thats the home of the 1,2,3UZ engines and the guys on that site know so much, dam good site

on the stock ECU i can use about 8 to 9 PSI of boost, over that and it will start to lean i think my wastgate is set to open at 10 psi....Roadside Tech I'll keep my eyes open for you.Thats cool mate thanks....:biggrin:
How are you going to control fuelling on a stock LS ECU? (excuse my ignorance if I missed it earlier in the thread)

Or will you be able to change parts in order to produce more power??Hi mate, yea it will only take about 8 or 9 psi with std ECU, but with that that should get me about 350BHP at the wheels

Roadside Tech Upped fuel pressure, 9 psi, stock N/A ECU? wouldn't have thought it was capable, but I'm sure you've done your homework

30-06-2016, 01:04 PM #100HI mate, no it will only be running just under half of the maximum power it can produce, this engine will make 1000hp all day long, but to get that out of it i would have to take apart the engine and add pistons and rods, but on stock engine its good for about 480/500HP
