Hi folks, got into the car this morning and noticed the drivers door marker light is staying on, even when i lock the doors. I've checked the door switches and they're fine.
I had the dreaded headlights staying on, last week, but i dried everything out, re-sealed the windscreen and all is well, until this problem.
Any idea's ?

as far as i know it gets its feed from the door switches i dont think the bonnet and boot have a link in might be worth going round and pressing all the door switches a few times in case its got a dry contact or a short maybe....

Strange.... The bulb that wasn't going off was an inverted LED, it was dimming when i pressed the door switch but not going off, but when i changed it to a normal buld it works. The bulb on the other door is working fine and thats the inverted LED, so now i have a blue bulb on one side and clear on the other :confused1:

LED's require only a tiny current to illuminate, could be the way the curcuit is designed, but normally this problem will occur when there is a faulty earthing point.

You said that you had the damp fusebox problem. It would deffinately be worth taking a look at where the earthing points bolt to the chassis and make sure that they havent corroded a bit

Also, some door switches will take their earth from the screw holding them to the door pillar. Also worth removing these to check for any corrosion underneath
