Excellent build, just read the whole thread :thumbup1:

The manual gearbox stuff, the R154 (5 speed) was from the MKIII Supra turbo, V160/V161 (6 speed) from the MKIV Supra Twin Turbo, W58 (5 speed) from the MKIII and MKIV N/A engined.

You'll kill the W58 with the torque, R154 should be fine and it's so much cheaper to get than the V160.

Got to the love the blown UZ lumps, an American company is starting to offer a 2UZ TT

What piggyback unit are you going to run until you get a standalone in there?

Hi mate, yea i will be useing the R154 , i did have one but i sold it as i was low on money and out of work at the time Confusedad: so im on the look out for one now, but i will be useing the auto box that comes with the V8 for now.

as for ECU no piggyback, useing just the ECU that came with the engine + the IS ecu for now, but next year i will be geting a Links ECU to do all the work.

yea i have seen some nive V8 swap on the site lextreme.com thats the home of the 1,2,3UZ engines and the guys on that site know so much, dam good site Smile

Marsdendean Will your car be running at the maximum it can ever produce ie if you want more power its going have to be an engine swap. Or will you be able to change parts in order to produce more power??
