As strange as it sounds, it's actually cheaper for my Mrs who's on her provisional license to be the main policy holder on the Lex than it is for me.
What are the 'requirements' for being the main policy holder? For example, if I were to let her drive the car once a week - which is about the same amount as I drive the car, would this be OK?
I'm listed as the owner of the car, and the quotes I'm getting are based on this fact. But with all mods declared, the Mrs (with me listed as an additional driver) is getting quotes £200 less than me
They just know she is a better driver than you , thats all .
I think you would be ok to have her as the policy holder even though you are the owner
Ouch that hurts :p I thought they were required to stop discriminating against male drivers now? But clearly not.
Anyway, here's something even weirder. If I take the policy out in her name, add myself as an additional driver BUT say that I am the main driver, the policy is only £20 more. This is in contrast to the policy being in my name with the Mrs as an additional driver where the policy ends up £200 more!
I think I'm gonna sit here all day and play with all boxes on gocompare to see how low I can get my quote by simply bending the truth :p
Your job title has a great affect also.
If I put self employed tattooist I pay way more then the current job title I give myself which is Managing Director of a retail business. Its the truth either way you look at it!!
