Bought mine in December - Change from the Zafiria's and Senic's I have had in the past. wouldn't go back now - not the fastest car in the world (but it's fun trying to keep up with a DB9 and few porsches) It also gives me power to zip past the local 40mph club that meet on the roads round here.
i have a 57 plate 231,and it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on,but be warned,if you buy a newer one expect a high road tax band like mine,keep saying i will sell it,but when you drive it and hear the BEEP,you just cant let it go,make sure it has a full history,and all the recall work has be done................but enjoy.
If you get 1 then you'll soon forget about the mpg.
Apparently oil is 0.5ltr per 1000mile.
They do like to be driven a bit hard than normal engines but everybody on the rx8 forum says if you drive slightly harder then mpg is better as lower in the revs it's labouring etc.
On the otherside you'll be able to tell ppl you've got a wankel
