I put Fuchs Titan Race SYN 5 75W-90 Fully Synthetic Gear Oil in mine. Just because they had an offer on that brand at the time, but it does seem like some pretty good stuff, and you can use the same oil in the LSD too.

Got Fuchs Titan Race engine oil too.

Well it's not just for LSD's, but that particular gear oil is Torsen LSD safe. Because you can't put normal LSD oil in the Torsen because it screws it up internally somehow.

2tongues Manual or Auto?

Manual 'box shouldn't ever need changing.

All Toyota service schedules include changing the gearbox oil, even a Yaris I had in!

Manual box takes 1.8 litres of GL-3 75W90, see http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_9...t_0008.pdf

Diff takes GL-5 SAE90 unless you live somewhere where you intend to use the diff below -18 degrees in which case it takes 80W90.

Open diff takes 1.05 litres, LSD takes 1 litre. See section 15 of http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_9...a_0065.pdf

If that's what the book says then yes do it at the correct time for the vehicle.

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

Cheers gents I'm guessing its the standard thing when replacing the oil,

Undo filler plug
Undo drain plug
Top up X amount

Yep, you let it all drain out completely, put the bottom plug back in. And then fill it back up through the one on the side untill it fills up to the level of the hole, then put the side plug back in. Job done.
