Sweet, nice one Steve a very good choice i'd say :thumbup1:, it'll be very good for people to see what can be done and on what budget. Have you been collecting the parts from various sources? If so is that helping with costs?

Looking forward to seeing this build up and running, do you think it'll be done for Japshow Finale?

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Yes, I've been collecting the parts from various sources, but at the end of the day I've gone with what I thought would do the job best (bearing in mind one of my key aims of reliability), so that doesn't necessarily mean the cheapest. I've discussed things with the garage involved and sometimes they've given me a specific recommendation, sometimes they've left it up to me. So it's been fun to research the options and to see what I can come up with - not like I'll just have a load of components chosen by someone else installed on my car.

As for Japshow Finale, I'd love it to be done by then but I doubt it. I haven't got it booked in yet so I'm not sure when it'll be. Of course when it's done then it'll be a good excuse to organise a meet for !

Yes, I have the SPC turbo manifold. Turbo has built-in wastegate, so will need to close off the wastegate outlet in the manifold.

Turbo manifold from SPC Horsham (a work of art IMHO). The flang(e) (sorry, the swear filter thinks that's a naughty word lol) is for a GT30 turbo, so either an adapter or a new flang(e) will need to accomodate the GT2560R (probably will be an adapter) :

Marsdendean I knew you were planning something big - and your repsonse was "its cheeper than the Lexus one" !!!!!

You mean the flywheel ? The lightweight flywheel is a lot cheaper than the Lexus one though. But I'll be glad to (hopefully !) get rid of that clutch judder :Shooting:

Marsdendean but dosnt a lightweight flywheel mean you can give it more power comapred to the stock one, or am i incorrect?

I don't know that much about it, my main reason for getting it is the lack of juddering (hopefully !). From what I've read, most people don't seem to have noticed any real difference when driving with one.

The theory is that the engine will rev more easily, because the flywheel has less mass and therefore will spin when revved more easily - conversely I guess it will lose revs quicker too ?

It's not really a power issue, that would be more down to the clutch, though even the OEM clutch can handle a fair bit of power, it seems.
