Needing a new LCD TV advice needed
Needing a new LCD TV advice needed
I'm going to be looking at getting a new TV for the living room and I'm after some advice.
Its not to be any smaller than 42" its also going to be wall mounted above my multi fuel stove . I'll be needing a wall mount that can tilt in the vertical direction but dont know much about which one to go for .
I was also thinking of putting my sky up the loft and using a magic eye thing to control it. The plaster board that is above the fire can be removed to get the wires etc for the TV . So is there anything else I should be thinking about doing when I've got walls down. Its just because I dont want to have it all done for someone to tell me a good idea that I should have done once the install is finished.
Do you have a budget in mind
have you thought about surround sound
My only suggestion is to take all the inputs from the tv to a remote location so you won't have to run new cables if you even add things etc

john lewis do 5 year garantee on there tvs, dont really know what their prices are like compared to other stores though, we all know you like a bargain
have you thought about a full tilt swivel arm bracket, as this allows the tv move out from the wall further, providing space behind for a shelf and all your kit
i have done this in my living room, but the brackt near to the corner, as its a corner there is adaquate space behind the tv for a shelf where my sky box lies, no cabling can be seen !

I'm thinking of the Samsung one , I also like the idea of a smart TV but definitely not going for 3D !! My only concern is the heat that the fire is going to generate and it ducking up the new TV . Well if the Sky is going up the loft would it be easy enough to get the rest of the connections up there to ??
