Yh i am no longer a fan of wireless, only use it for convinence, my smart tv, ps3, computer is all on wired which is much more stable.

I been looking at getting a NAS drive, but if this is built in, makes life easier, and i do like the lcd screen as well showing the status of connections.

5ghz is not a problem at the moment, none of my devices work on 5ghz, well i dont think they do, but near future it may become a problem.

Right the guy selling the DIR685 for 67 is in Bury, im driving by, tomorrow on my way to manchester airport, so I have asked can I pop in after and pay cash.

Ive propsed £50, as he will end up with amount anywhere after paying for the free delivery, and all the fees.

See what he says.

Am honestly not trying to hi-jack the thread but as there's so much network knowledge on it already and I've got a similar problem with my o2 router, am wondering can I replace it with the same router and get better service?

In all we've got the main computer which acts as a media server hard wired and plugged straight into the tv which always works. But an iphone (soon to be 2) an ipod touch and 2 laptops all wireless. It just doesn't seem to like a sending data wirelessly all the time to everything, even though the conections look good i have to restart it. Like a laptop will work but the ipod wont for no reason, restart it all good for a while then the laptop will get no data but will still be connected.

I'm wondering if I bought the router linked above to replace the o2 one, would that make my life stress free again?

Definitely go with the Cisco if you haven't bought one already, it's more expensive but worth every penny.

Suffered for years with Netgear stuff, the Cisco is so much better it's ridiculous.
