Right as my parts "overnight from Japan" have been delayed till the 12th im desperately trying to figure out how to get the car back on the road.

Water gaskets i can make, manifold gaskets im ok for as well.

Valve stems are ok as their the same as the 3SGTE, Cam shaft seals are the same as the Yeris oddly so thats ok.

the only part i need is a headgasket.

Now in my head it cant be any different to the 1GFE IS200 one as its the same block in principle, but has anybody got a picture of, or can take one of the 1gfe headgasket so i can compare.

need it asap

thanks.

i may be wrong here but just a guess and going by the 2JZ HG's which i know aren't the same for GE and GTE as the GTE is a lot thicker to lower compression.

Possible that this is the same for the FE and GTE maybe?

The HG isn't thicker to lower compression - thicker head gaskets are a pikey way of lowering compression aftermarket. It's thicker because it's metal not paper due to much higher combustion compression due to boost.

I'm not sure your 'same block' approach works Stav, in theory the 1UZ is always the 'same block' but the HG is quite different between revisions. Different oilways for VVTi actuation and sometimes different coolant paths.

You might just have to wait it out Sad

My Toyota guy is saying ETA of the 9th if he orders the HG today. That plus time to get it to you probably works out the same!
