Right here we go pics of the engine strip down and ill get plenty of rebuild as i go along!

This is the engine complete that i got for £350 has 43k miles on it

First to come off was the timimg belt cover and the vvti sensor

Next bit that came off what the fuel rail, injectors, fuel lines and dipstick

Next that was taken off was the inlet manifold and rocker cover

Leaving the cam shafts on show

Then the top sproket/gear taken off the the camshaft (Lock off the engine to stop turning on you) and remove the casing at the front of the engine on the head

Then undo all the bearing caps on the inlet and outlet camshafts (keep in order) and the camshaft will just lift out

next was the head bolts and i (well my dad used a 12mm spine drive) says it worked fine but in the manual it says these are 10mm bi-hex. These will be replaced ARP bolts/studs anyway

Once these are removed the head will lift off try and keep square to help ensure the shims and buckets all remain they shouldnt go anywhere any how but will be a time consuming job later on in the rebuild

When i bought this engine i was told it had sat around for 6 months in the car but when opened up all is really clean head gasket not baked on, oil still clean and when checking the bores they are smooth with no ridges or scratches so hopefully no need for honing but will wait till pistons are fully out

Well i hope this helps someone sorry for the lack of detail dads stripping it while im in Ireland so anymore info needed or pics ill try and get for you
