Jimbobs Lexus IS200 Turbo!
No mate not at all.
hi all its time to get all my bits from toyota does anyone know where to het the part numbers for all the crank bearings and piston beaarings i know what mark ones i have to get just need part numbers oh and thrust bearing please help lol
Toxo has the parts catalogue but is at a MR2 meet in Germany this week.
its ok found a website online well say find was in my favorites lol thx though
Right a little update as i am in Canada at the minute i have ordered the mains ARP studs and all the bearings i need so the bottom end can now start being rebuilt now that was not cheap lol
Could someone advise what they think would be a better piggy back ECU not sure whether to go for the obvious greddy ultimate or the AEM, not so much better but what every ones thought are on each
Also can anyone help me find the thrust bearings for the 1gfe the one i found toyota said they cannot find, he is looking into it at present but could do with getting it as i dont think he will be moving to fast and will hold me up on the rebuild
Also ill get up the pics of the rebuild as i go along and post a few i have of the block being resprayed not too exciting i know lol oh and gone with black rocker cover as fed up of it looking tatty when it weathers
Right a little update i got the thrust bearings sorted so now everything is in place ready for the rebuild to begin next purchases are the head gasket set, turbo kit from IKE and intercooler, ive got the turbo out here in Canada so ill bring that back with me which was a bargain
Just got a bargain off Ebay just got my ARP head bolts for 85 pound so a nice lil saving there! Ill hopefully get gasket set this week as well then i can get the head back on!
A question should i be upgrading my engine mounts??
Also could someone take some pictures of where i need to take my oil and water feed from to the turbo please??
Good result on the bolts mate.
As for the oil feed. There's a pipe from the block to the vvti valve, replace that and tee off it, or put a double banjo in.
Return tap the sump and go into there.
As for water there's 2 pipes going to the bulkhead for the interior heater tap off them.
Thanks for your help mate im getting all the parts slowly but surely lol
Not sure whether my dad is gonna start the build for me or if im doing it when i get back from canada though its allowing me to get all the bits so wont have too many stops along the way!
