Lexus Is200 SE Project
Lexus Is200 SE Project
Evening all, I've been on here a while but havent had a chance to get a build thread going, so here goes...
I came from VAG and after owning a Cupra, it was time i scratched my Jap icth.
With no further ado, my new motor:
Picked it up at a garage in Blackburn, full Lexus service history and all paperwork in order so im happy
The initial Plans:
-TRD Side skirts and rear skirt
-TTE Front Bumper
-Boot Lip Spoiler
-Tein Coilovers
-Buddy club back box with custom exhaust to delete the cats.
-New wheels (who knows what yet) maybe Blitz or Rotas
-Drilled and grooved discs with EBC pads
-Calipers painted
-Greddy Emanage ECU
-Engine bay niceness with new nuts and bolts and a grille panel plate thing
-Wind Deflectors form the USofA
-New Head Unit, most likely Alpine
Recently i started modifying, just the little things but you have to start somewhere...
Started with swapping out the Indicator lenses:
Debadged and Stix44's IS200 in the back:
Then put in a Sports Grille:
Then it was time to paint the Front lights black. I looked up the process and gave myself a day to do it! turned out it was an easy enough job to do, and was happy with the end results! Also did the front fogs but no pics as it was the same process.
Used 1200 fine grade then 2 coats of primer, another light sanding then 2 coats of gloss black paint...
Finished article (sorry for instagram)
And back on the car:
Then I removed the Clocks and changed the orange bulbs for some white ones:
finished article (again sorry for instagram)
oh and my TRD Side skirts turned up the other day:
And as of today i have my coilovers on order, ive gone for HSD ones from Driftworks and my TRD Front lip from Lexus Newcastle.
Updates and more pics to follow
Thanks for reading
Stephen

You could make ur own kit which works out a lot cheaper me and another member are in the process of creating a kit.
Also you won't need an emanage for the standard power u get out of a charger all you need is a blackbox which a member on here makes to run one and of course the other parts as standard.
Which would save you money and be better to get a charger first before playing with setup, that's my view anyway
