I have a 'friendly' MOT tester so I'm all good with my decat. Otherwise yes it's going to fail you.
Ormi, Stix has the same knocking and his car seems to be fine, I though it was just the joint hitting the inner arch! I was going to get some sort of damper fitter to allow it to sit nice and low without the noises lol

em no its due to the angle the ball joints sit at they are at max angle and the ball cant move any more so the joint knocks off the socket that the ball part sits in..ie making it oval which makes it pop out....mine made the noise for six months then pop out came the joint back went the wheel and bend went the wing..ill see if i can find the pics

Erm Lexus Newcastle gave me a genuine MOT pass when all I had was exhaust and suspension, so I don't know why your MOT tester is saying you would fail if he was "friendly"
