Jimbobs Lexus IS200 Turbo!
Well had my MOT the other day and all passed apart from got a advisory that my pads were low on the front and back, thought wierd on the front didnt change that long ago. So driving that day and a grinding noise starts on the back left so checked my disc and pads and **** metal on metal!!! low wasnt the word i would of used try gone!! so changed them today discs and pads
old pads what a joke and passed MOT though i should of changed sooner
Got a scraping noise after i fitted the new pads and discs so ill jack it up and have a good look tomorrow!
Pod gauge i finish and all sprayed put the gauges in and ive now wired two of them up power only sensors to do when new engine is installed
update on the engine is all parts on bottom end now installed apart from pistons and the oil cooler as i need a new oring which i got today ill get pics for ppl tomorrow
problems ive hit is a water pump bolt sheared so ill use easy out kit on that and replace also i have lost one of the locating spigots that locate the head so going to have to get one of them on order
Looking good mate.
The scraping will almost certainly be the dust cover behind the disc.
Thanks mate
really ok mate a little bit of metal bending will happen tomorrow then lol
Just a little update new oring delivered today for the oil cooler so installed that all onto the block so its ready for the oil cooler and oil sensors for my gauges
Next is installing my walbro fuel pump as long as i can find my soldering iron!
The news on the pistons rings is they are going to arrive till the new year which is very frustrating but hey such as life
The other problem is the head locating bush that i need to get as one has gone poof!! lol
good update mate, any reason your not removing the cooler?
just because the other connections on the cooler not 100% what they are so i juust thought no harm in leaving on, only problem there might be is the distance it comes out. Im sure i read somewhere that it is abit of a squeeze.
Do you know what the other connections on the cooler are mate?
Just coolant mate, its just a compact cooler, problem is finding a double ended piece to replace the cooler one. ie one end into the block other into the new take off.
So for ease best to keep the original oil cooler on aswell then?
at the moment, but im looking for them connectors, if i find them ill let you know
