Jimbobs Lexus IS200 Turbo!
Bit of a problem when i got the sandwich plate on i cant get the front knock sensor on i can move back but i assume this reads the knock in cyclinder 1 i dont really know a great deal about knock sensors
There's 2 and they read 1-3 and 4-6.
You could move them back as the mapper will attach a knock sensor during mapping shouldn't be a issue.
Well got abit more done today nothing major but a few of the little jobs
got the intercooler connected up on the turbo side
Oil cooler fitted to the front now aswell
fitted the sensor wires through the bulk head and now they are all hooked up
and fitted vacuum tube for boost gauge (next to vacuum manifold)
Sorted the oil feed and drain for the turbo
Moved knock sensor 1 space back aswell cheers Sparystav
Resistors all turned up today aswell so soldered them and started to do wiring on drive by wire still got to do idle microswitch and wire up to TPS on the throttle body thinks ill just see what happens with this think its gonna be head scratching at a later date for this never gonna work first time!!!
Questions on the electronic boost controller there is a vacuum feed is this for anything in particular?? dont think i need
Still got to make a bracket to hold throttle cable and do some wire tidying down on the right side as the cables are a mess but once i got all working ill be doing some extensive wire tidying up
Other than these bits and some oil replens she is ready to turn over nervous!!!!!!!
The boost controller needs the vacuum/boost feed to know what the boost level is.
**** more vacuum pipes pmsl pretty obvious really defin a blonde moment lmao!!!
a few more jobs completed today made up a temp bracket for the throttle cable but will work till i get one made up
plumbed in the intercooler pipework to the inlet side but need to get another clip for the throttle body
Getting a little tight lol
wired the tps up and started the drive by wire mods lol wiring just loose at the minute will set this up when i get the battery back on
Also got the resistors soldered for clutch and TC motor you can see at the back with green elec tape lol
Fitted the dip stick aswell nearly forgot about this found it in the boot lmao
Sorted the wires out on the right side of the engine now the plugs reach lmao think i had twisted them up a little bit though i have one green plug left mmmmmm good look 2moz to find this lol
mainly wiring todo 2moz and oil and water replens then ill be going over everything with a fine tooth comb ready for when i turn her over
Though saturday got to do a water pump on my dads Soarer not good pain just like the IS200 timing belt off lol
its just a gt35 cheapy for the time being i got a garret gt35 being rebuilt at the minute would wait but want to get her going lol
Is it a 2 pin green plug? Could be watertemp on the front left of the engine.
