So did you find out if it was the water pump that was a problem in the old engine ? Are you confident about the water pump in the new one ?

Also, some people at JAE were suggesting that your radiator was installed the wrong way round (in terms of the orientation of the vanes), so the hot coolant coming in was running straight down vertically and back around the engine again, rather than working its way through the rad and cooling down.

I'm just genuinely interested in this, I don't want this to come across negatively. Teething problems are of course inevitable in such a complex build, and I'm looking forward to you solving any glitches and having this awesome motor being a reliable one too ! :biggrin:

Hi mate, it not that the rad is installed the wrong way round, its where the pipe enters to top of the rad, should be over to the side alot more than it is.

im 99% sure it was the pump, i will have the pump out over the weekendWink

UPDATE!!!!!!!!


Hi guys, i have just had a run out in her for the 1st time with this engine and all seems ok apart from the turbo oil return pipe needs takeing of and refitting as i have a bit of a drip comeing from the bottom of the pipe, but apart from that she is running well, had her boosting at .9 tonight and she flys:drool:Big Grin just need to get a boost controller now, so i can hold it at .9 :w00t:
