Yesterday my new brake discs and pads arrived, so it was time to jack up the car again.

I picked up my wire brush and went to town on the calipers and the dust shields
[Image: DSC_0438_fix.jpg]

While I was at it I thought I'd try it on my arm as well Confusedcared:

After:

I also fitted my front Tein S-tech springs. Tomorrow I'll fit the rear ones and clean up the rear brakes.

After spending a lot of time fitting my rear Tein springs I wire brushed and painted my rear brakes. I also adjusted the parking brake while I was at it.

Before:

After:

Then I replaced the old drop links
[Image: DSC_0407_fix.jpg]

My jack got stuck under the car when I lowered it, so I had to dig it out. I'm happy with the ride height though Smile
[Image: DSC_0515_fix.jpg]

On my way to work this morning I made a stop at an MOT station to check my exhaust emissions. They were all normal.

Yeah, they looked like they came from a shipwreck or something.

Today I had my windscreen replaced. I took a picture of it yesterday to do a comparison.

Old windscreen:

New windscreen:

And a bonus pic because it was an absolutely beautiful evening.

Stunning views mate! Great progress with the car. Those drop links were a mess. How does it feel now?

The last few weeks I've been trying to come up with stuff to change on the Yaris. I'm still waiting for a cloudy day so I can give the car a proper wash and take a few new pictures of it. The sun isn't all bad though. Me and a friend bought a wakeboard and decided to learn before summer ends. My boat only makes tiny wakes, but it's a lot of fun anyway.

Today I went to the breakers and got myself a steering wheel off a 2004 Yaris with only 25k miles on the clock. My old one was pretty worn and had a few scratches.

I also bought a set of used wheel nuts. They were quite dirty, but that was easily fixed with some degreaser and a toothbrush.

I'm not sure what had happened to the old ones, but they looked awful.
