dan_harris it's possible if you think of sam's is pushing near enough 300 and his picks up at 3,300 iirc?

Dont think Sams gets to full boost at 3.3k?

Mine is 3.4K then full boost almost instantly thanks to the Hybrid tubby. My next mod is either a bigger tubby (Sierra Cosworth size) or more Bass!!

My thinking is bigger tubby but same boost = more airflow = more power, no bigger risk to internals of engine. but a bit more lag.

the dyno I saw of sams prior to it going pop showed around 3,300 mate however since it's been remapped now you could be right Smile

2tongues My thinking is bigger tubby but same boost = more airflow = more power, no bigger risk to internals of engine. but a bit more lag.

half of the issue is tuning.

its not all about how much boost you run.

Very true, which is why tuning is so important, it will make or break a project like this.

would be intresting to know, on the supercharged cars and turboed cars
what AF you are getting.

Think I've pretty much got all the bits now. Main thing I'm waiting on is the turbo adapter - using a turbo with a GT25 flang(e), whereas the manifold has a GT30 flang(e)

Once that's made I *think* it should be pretty much ready to go in, then they can test-fit the pistons and measure for the piston rings, and check what size new main bearings are needed. I'll try and find out more next week.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
