Always good to have input mate :thumbup1:

There was a reason i asked about the exhaust, as i've always thought it to be good practice if you up the power by adding a turbo etc, its good to let the gases escape which makes for a more free flowing set up, making it smoother and less for the output to fight against Big Grin
But like you've said, see how the oem system copes with the power upgrade then you have the option to upgrade at a later date if wanted :thumbup1:

Quite looking forward to seeing how it comes on :thumbup1:

Small update. The turbo adapter (for the inlet) has been made up, now we're waiting on a ****** for the outlet (to the exhaust) that's being obtained to hopefully make it easier to sort out the downpipe (less fabrication required).

This is imminent and I'm keeping everything crossed that the car will be able to go in very, very soon now to get the work done !

steviewevie JUN lightweight flywheel. Again definitely not essential for this sort of conversion. Why have I got one ? A couple of reasons really. The main one is that I get juddering from my clutch/flywheel, so I thought that given my engine is coming out anyway (for new internals), I might as well change the clutch/flywheel at the same time to try and fix the juddering. Also, although the OEM clutch would almost certainly be fine with the bhp I'm aiming for, given that I have no idea of its age (probably the original one), more power might hasten its demise.

I picked the JUN lightweight flywheel not because of its lightweight nature, but because it's a lot cheaper than the Lexus OEM dual-mass flywheel, and hopefully it's less likely to judder (and being a solid flywheel should be able to be skimmed if it does develop a problem).

Check out the amusingly-badly-translated English description on the box ...

I got it from Nengun Performance, who ship directly from Japan. The prices on their website are set depending on the exchange rate, i.e. against the Yen. So if you look on different days you'll get different prices ! I paid £380.27 for mine, which was made up of £364.72 for the item plus shipping, plus a £15.55 customs charge.

The current price they're showing here (for the GXE-10 model, i.e. IS200) is £261.96 for the item, plus £15.27 credit card fee, plus £93.20 shipping for a total of £370.43 not including any customs charging (you have to be logged in as a member on their site to see the shipping charges etc).
