OK, been reading up on dash led's and have the clocks figured out,
3 x T10's & 2 x T5's, colour of my choice.

the question i have is have you guy's replaced bulbs for the ignition barrel, dash light dimmer switch, temp controls, clock, heated seats & TRC buttons aswell, or can these not be changed?

Seen plenty pics of the clocks done, but not the rest.

Thinking about getting dash done, but not if it means leaving centre console lights orange.

Advice please.
Deckie.

as for the aircon, theres various ways to do it.

from soldering individual LED,s, to using led strips.

or just changing the bulbs.
take the AC out, take it apart and measure the bulbs. but oyu have to make sure you get good ones to get a good spread of light

The dash is simple, swap in and out. The rest is a lot more complicated. The a/c controls require soldering or other methods, as Stav said. For example, the heated seat buttons use incredibly tiny bulbs - I don't know if you can get LEDs that will slot in there, I don't think they're on Bandit's list so I wonder if it's possible to get some. With a bit of soldering, anything is possible of course !

Personally, the complication of doing all the other bits puts me off somewhat.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

the soldering up of the 3mm L.E.D's around the aircon is the sexiest outcome i think but is a real pain as you have to drill out the plastic ever so slightly and fit the LED's along with wire resistors etc gets very tight and its possible to short the led's once you done it all and they pop i know i did lol

The seat switches are a pain i made my own 3mm cluster for both heated seat switches similar story with the TRC/Snow etc

i managed to get 2x 3mm LED in the ignition barrel

Not done the Lighter one yet

in theory all of them can be done just may require a bit of work

Cheers Stav,

I'm offshore at the minute, my plan was to order up bulbs needed, so they would be sitting waiting fo rme to install when i get home week on monday,
It's starting to sound like its too precise an operation for me to take on.
I'll pull things apart when i get home, have a look & see.

Cheers guy's

I changed the Heated Seats switch LEDs to blue by changing the complete LED and holder which are refered to as Neo type holders.....waste of time, honestly even when it was pitch black in the car you could barely see the seat icon. I never got a picture (and I take pictures of everything....lol) because there was nothing to really see! Easy to do because they just twist out, but the grey plastic of these Chinese/Ebay LEDs is very soft (unlike the OEM Lexus LEDs that you remove), and give out very poor light. I also changed the Heated Seats Orange (On Position) to Red instead of the Orange (2 LEDs inside the switch) which I've kept and quite like, for some reason the Red LED I replaced the OEM ones with come through okay.

However a word of warning: Forget it if you plan to use the LEDs which I think are the tiny T4's and T3's from any Chinese source on Ebay because they are rubbish! See below the ones I bought and then binned!

It can be done with this "Style" of bulb/LED, but it matters where you get them. Okay I was going to get them from Autoillimination in the US as recommended, but they wanted something stupid like $30 or $40 shipping for a handful of LEDs that weigh nothing.....However, and here's the lesson, I went for cheaper Ebay LEDs and they were cr@p. So, take a look at this US thread on changing your Clocks and A/C plus other bits......This is an excellent thread and I think the change to White LEDs in the A/C etc looks great, but still; think most other colours will still be weak?

Anyway, read it all the way through, click the links and get out of it what you can.Note in the first thread there is a link in RED to doing the A/C etc.
