Yeah the problem is the pitch is too big on mine (too coarse), it needs to be smaller (more fine).

Could you send it to someone who does the helicoil thread repair system??? I think it can also be used to change thread pitch.

Problem with that is that helicoils (or any coiled insert for that matter) are designed for going into something solid, i.e. you would drill the brake caliper and fit the threaded insert into the hole, rather than modifying the exposed protruding thread on the brake line.

Thanks, but I imagine it'll be cheaper to just buy another set of brake lines that'll fit properly :Sulk:

What are your options there, are there many companies that make lines for the IS200? I know with the MR2 we pretty much just have HEL, Goodridge, or random eBay ****.

@Toxo - Brake lines have been ordered by Charlesworth, don't know whose they are specifically. I don't know who is making them but I imagine they will either be HEL or Goodridge fittings. May find out more tomorrow.

@kam05 - sorry about the lack of pics, I'd love to see pics too ! But I'm down in Surrey and Charlesworth are up near Manchester, so I can't exactly pop along to take pics very easily. They have taken some pics themselves but haven't had a chance to send them to me yet. They tell me they've taken more today, so as soon as I get some, I'll share them !

Today's update is that the manifold has come back, altered to take my turbo, and is looking good. So the engine has been taken out now and is beginning to be stripped down for its rebuild.
