hi all and best of luck for the new year:thumbup:


i know you all are going to say that no we dont need to change it
but when i Bought the avensis (before the lex) i dont change the fuel filter on that for 2 year and it use to have a poor start (just like the lex) 1 or 3 times a month
than when i changed it was fine after that

so my question is has anyone changed it?

i changed mine on my GS,found nothing wrong with it but i know that its ok .think every one got his or her own thoughts on this but if u feel u done the milage........change it:Bazza:

The fuel filter is in the fuel tank, and you shouldn't have to change it on the IS200. It won't hurt to change it if you want to though.

Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Confusedmoke:the GS filter is also in the tank.....and is'nt hard to change.....mine took about 15 min.....:Bazza:

ive changed mine, but only cause i uprated the pump.

like has been said its not hard to, but not really needed

As many of you have written the fuel filter it is a part of the fuel pump and it is located in the fuel tank. Usually it is not need to be changed. I changed mine only for precaution when i fitted the supercharger. In Greece the fuel is not so clean. You always find some other particles and impurities that might block the filter and this would not be good especially now with the SC where the fuel requirements are critical. Also changing the fuel filter it is a good idea to clean also the fuel tank!
