Not sure what the problem is, but I get about 240 miles out of £50 of juice (mix of dual carriageway and town driving).

Is the engine management light on?

Could be many things, best thing to do is have a garage look at it.

bad egg smell points to a *(edited by moderator)* knackered cat m8 get a garage to check it on the gas tester and perfect excuse to get rid of the pre-cats

The rotten-egg smell comes from a clogged or plugged catalytic converter or a very rich fuel mixture. Which can also give you really crappy mpg? Hows it driving mate? does it pull ok through the gears? Could be a collapsed pre-cat or the main cat given up?

No warning lights on the dash ? I wonder if one of the sensors is acting up. Sounds like it's over-fuelling if you're using way too much fuel, which often can be down to a sensor problem.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Mikey is200/s13 when i tried to give it i hit the valve lift just over 4k rpm it stinks like bad eggs thats whats pointed me to the cat any help please

Sorry to be pedantic but its the variable inlet manifold opening at 4.2k - IS200 has not got lift adjutment (VTEC / VVTL-I.)

Along with the cat and sensor suggestions can be the engine running too hot (but you would notice on the temp gauge) or a dodgy fuel pressure regulator.

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

Yep, what Ed said ^^^^^

The VVT-i is active across the rev range, and doesn't suddenly kick in like VTEC or similar, but the inlet manifold does suddenly open up (it has a valve inside it to change its shape internally), and this is what you can sometimes feel/hear at about 4k-ish rpm.

You could get the fuelling checked on a rolling road.
