With the recent bad weather my car has got stuck a few times and when it gets stuck in the snow and I've tried to move it I've noticed a odd noise which is like a clicky grindy noise but I cant pinpoint it. Is this the noise of the diff sending power to the other side? My car really needs an LSD tho.

Sounds normal to me as it the TRC working at slowing the wheel to get grip.
This happened to me on the way home tonight.

lol...well my TRC is still ermm...not working lol...I still havent had a chance to check it out but from what I can see I think its one of the sensors which is playing up so therefore my TRC OFF light is flashing. Seeing as the car isnt really moving it may be the TRC kicking in actually tho as mine only goes off when the car gets upto over about 20mph which is odd as it doesnt even give me an error code. Gord...steer clear of scarcroft road btw mate as its a proper mess.

Actually...it just clicked...it sounds like the clicking noise that the ABS makes so it must be the TRC kicking in probably but the slip light hasnt shown on the dash when it happens.

I've been using the snow button as well. Is it easy to fit an after market LSD?

The TRC just cuts the power, so it won't be that. It'll be the diff, with one side having traction and the other side not having any. Without an LSD you can end up getting stuck more easily since if one side if just spinning then all the power will go there and none to the wheel with traction.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
