Right, time for a major update. Charlesworth are aiming to have the car over to Noble at the weekend, for them to start the mapping. Noble can use the map for Sam's turbo'd IS200 (which they also mapped) as a base, and go from there.

The following are all done :

- Replaced OEM internals with GTE engine internals (rods and pistons), with new piston rings and big end shells
- Turbo manifold installed, and drilled to accept sensors etc
- Turbo (GT2560R) installed, with custom flang(e) made for manifold
- Oil feed and return fittings for engine
- Lightweight flywheel and uprated clutch installed
- Stainless brake lines fitted
- New brake discs and pads (Black Diamond) fitted
- DOT 5.1 brake fluid change
- Coilovers (BC Racing) installed
- Intercooler attached
- Piping for intercooler fitted
- IK22 spark plugs replaced IK20s
- Wiring for e-Manage routed in
- Sump plug drilled for oil temp sensor

Still to be done :

- Downpipe made and installed (being done at the moment)
- Uprated injectors to be installed (not till it's over being mapped, since they won't work properly otherwise)
- GReddy e-Manage Ultimate to be wired in (either by Charlesworth before it goes, or possibly by Noble themselves) and mapped
- Gauges wired in
- Turbo fully connected up, and oil and coolant lines installed, dump valve connected
- Bracing for turbo installed
- Air filter connected
- Silkolene oil and OEM oil filter (currently running on bog-standard oil while new internals are run in)
- Gauge pod to be finished off by me ! (wish I'd kept it, finished it myself and then sent it lol)

Noble is about 40 miles from Charlesworth, and the car will be driven over there, but kept at low revs (since it's unmapped at that stage).

It's on the home straight now, fingers crossed !

Yeah was a long time for them to have the car but this did include the christmass time so not many places were actually working, then we had the 2 weeks of bad weather which stopped alot of deliveries and alot of people getting to work.

but a job that is rushed can go wrong and little things forgot i would rather my car was out of service longer to ensure a good job Confusedmoke:

I also would rather the job done right the first time as i am sure Steve car will be.
A lot of the delays have been down to the weather so fair play there.

Not long to go now before you go and collect your baby! Steve:thumbup1:

My engines nuts and bolts require more torque than your car produces

Yeah I doubt we will ever know why exactly that happened to Sam's car. It does seem unusual. But remember Sam's car has had quite a long and complicated history, with more than one garage working on it. Charlesworth just tried to fix up something that someone else had started that Sam wasn't happy with. It's different from my project, where Charlesworth are doing all the work, bar the mapping (and even then, they'll be liasing with Noble over the mapping).
