headlight washers and windscreen washer
headlight washers and windscreen washer
has anybody else got this problem
sometimes when i press the button for the windscreen washer 2 spit water on my window d stupid head light washers spray water all over the car which is really annoying because it leaves water marks everywere
also do your headlight washers ment 2 spray everywere or just on the headlights
The headlight washers use a lot of pressure to work and yes water goes everywhere when you use them.
Have never had a problem with them coming on when I wash the windscreen, just if I push the button
They're meant to wash the headlights every third press of the windscreen button i think
Sparkystav They're meant to wash the headlights every third press of the windscreen button i think

ah no thats it, its only when the headlights are one as well your right Dean
Remember that earlier cars and later ones work differently. On my 1999 IS200, I have to specifically press the headlight washer button (with the headlights on) to make them work.
Sorry to highjack this but does the pipe between the headlamp washers have to be a specific one or will any that fit do?
Think any will do mate as long as it fits the joints, saw an is200 using a bit of hose pipe in the past?
IIRC they do have a shape to them, but sure you could bend it to the shape you wanted it to run?
Thanks mate don't think the pipes there so will probably have to get some it's basically going between the 2 washer units so straight across the front.
If I remember correctly yours was a 51 plate wasn't it? Then you've got the kind that will spray the headlights the first time you wash the windscreen if the lights are on.
But yes they very annoyingly spray all over the bonnet, which is why I was happy to lose them when I had the TTE bumper fitted
