I bet by the time you get back into your car, you won’t recognise it, and it will feel completely different. And that’s before you even start it too !!!

Whenever my car goes into the garage for a long time, and I get a courtesy car, getting back into the Lex always feels different and new, just like the first time I bought it, and took it home.

True, it was so well planned out that I thought it'd be in and out in no time - but I guess that just shows that with this sort of custom work you never can really plan everything, plus the weather didn't help too.

I'm sure when it all comes back perfect a few weeks here and there will be easily forgotten

Sparkystav are you still hiring a car all this time?

No Stav, Steve now has no transport apart from the bus

I think I would be asking for some compensation because of the time scale this has taken. But if Steve is happy then thats all that matters

Lexus IS200 Mods--TTE Supercharger, Tein Superstreet Coilovers & EDFC, 6000K HID Lights, HKS Silent High Power Exhaust, DBA Front Discs, Kenwood DNX9240 Head Unit, 19" Rims, TRD Kit, FIGS Bonnet Struts, Greddy Pillar Pod & Defi Gauges, TTE Red ARBS . And Been To WIM twice

I gave back the hire car quite a long time back, because of the cost. Obviously if I'd known it would take this long I'd have done something different, e.g. bought another car.

I really wanted the car back in time for this week, because my kids are arriving from New Zealand in the morning, and I'm going to Heathrow to pick them up. So I've hired another car (Vauxhall Insignia).

Latest is that the downpipe is now finished (bar heat-wrapping, but that doesn't have to be done before mapping). They hit a problem though in that the dump valve was mounted too high and was very close to the bonnet. So they're re-doing that bit and then hopefully it can go off for mapping.
