The thing to look out for is if the fuelling goes to lean (i.e. high value in terms of the AFR). If the mixture is very lean and subjected to high load, then that's bad news - it's likely to damage the engine. Normally it's only very lean under low loading, and goes richer (smaller number on the gauge, i.e. more fuel) as the load increases.
Good point, yes, you can get things like the Camp2 to do that, like Rabster has. I don't have a satnav already though, so it would be expensive to add in, and I'd much rather have some actual gauges anyway.
It's a good suggestion though, and one that might work for some people.
lexynik steve is it not possible to get the gauges you need set up on an oem satnav type screen at all- a bit like the iphone obd app in theory but obviously youd need to source your info from other sensors-if you get what i mean
