I've already got an uprated MAP sensor though, not sure the standard one is still connected, I presumed not ? :confused1:

Steve is the standard MAP not still connected to the OEM ECU? In which case I imagine it could still still trigger limp mode?

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

Thanks, I will look into it. It does feel like the car is going into a "limp mode", though I get no OBD-II codes from it.

ok, I wasn't saying you were wrong, just trying to understand. I *assumed* my old MAP sensor wasn't being used any more (removed or disconnected), but since it's an assumption it could be totally wrong. The problem doesn't show up on the dyno, nor on the road for most of the time.

Thinking out loud here, I wonder if the uprated MAP sensor isn't connected up properly ? Right now I think (but could be wrong) it's wired into just the e-Manage Ultimate, so maybe it needs wiring into the OEM ECU too ?

Edit - wouldn't I get an OBD-II code if the OEM ECU is putting the car into limp mode ? Isn't that what happens on supercharged IS200s, e.g. if the Black Box fails ? Or is there no code in that case too ?

Just had a peer under my bonnet for my own education on this, and I can see the OEM MAP sensor there, hooked into the GReddy (uprated) MAP sensor too.

Well, that's what I (naively ?) thought too, I would have thought the uprated MAP sensor simply replaces the OEM one. I *could* be looking at the wrong thing under the bonnet, but I'm pretty sure the OEM MAP sensor is still there and connected.

I really don't know. Will have to speak to Charlesworth/Noble about it. I will also speak to the local guy who is going to look at my map (as opposed to MAP lol) for me.
