Turning off Wheel Sensors on LEXUS SC430
The OJC are not recommending that this is done with out specialist help.
I have been running my car for 3 year with out this feature and have never had any problems.
Best fix appears to be:
- put shifter on N, screw off shifter
- open up center console
- pull the whole heated seat module straight up, it will come up. disconnect
- you will be able to pull up the "back" part of the shift plate area (close to center console) be careful while doing this if using sharp instrument.
- once it's up, the only point holding it are two clips right below the radio
- pull the shift plate towards the back of the car and a bit angle up. jiggle a bit and it will come off
- once it's out, you will see the TPS unit right below the radio
- unplug BOTH plugs, one small on the right and one bigger one on the left (could be other way round)
- put everything back and enjoy

Otherwise you need to find alloys that will have room for the sensors to fit inside this is really hard to find.
If the wheels are changed then you need to turn the sensor and buzzer off or your go insane mate.
Saraj if you turn off the sensors then you can add different alloys and sizes to your car.

They have a life span of around five years and cost over a £100 each plus fitting.
That is one of the reason people like to turn off the sensors the other being the sensors dont fit many alloys.

ahh i see, sounds similiar to that system you can buy for your tyres, an aftermarket one, put the sensor on the air valves and a monitor on your dashboard
