Hello people,

Been running IS200+TTE s/c without problems, changed fuel injectors for bigger ones, still no problem, changed pulley from 120mm to 160mm and now, usually on 2nd gear car feels like sluggish, looks like something pulling backwards, slowing the car down, but then looks like it hits through a 'barrier' and kicks in properly. Anyone had such a problem before or maybe know what it could be? Too big pulley or what? Not only in 2nd gear, 1st gear alright and the rest has this problem, didn't have chance to test it properly, but as I said it feels like you put your foot down it pulls, then slows down at 3k~ RPM and then kicks in as it should. Apart from that I can tell you people that going from 120mm to 160mm is a MASSIVE difference. Just want to sort this issue and will go for walbro fuel pump. Still waiting for AFR gauge from eBay. Thanks in advance guys

Think you need to use something like the emange and get it mapped once you fit your new fuel pump

Not sure what it is called but it came up with charger kit. When you say black box you mean appearance or its called black box because of other things? Big Grin

160mm pulley is too big. Wich injectors are you using? I think the car runs lean in the low rpms. Because too big pulley too much boost for the injectors.
You need more then 310cc injectors with the 160mm pulley. But you cant use that big injectors without some fuel management to control the injectors.

They are from a 1ggte in green colour. Not 100% sure but its 315cc. So basically I need aftermarket ECU to get it sorted or go back to 120mm pulley?...

With this size injectors i am surprised you dont get a check engine light. I had 310cc injectors from celica 2zzge engine and i got a check engine light with these injectors. Maybe they arent that size?
I think the first thing you need is a wideband air fuel gauge. Then you can see if the car is running lean or rich.
With these big injectors and oem ecu you get the chance that it overfloads in fuel in some rpms it isnt made to handle twice as big injectors.

I had engine light and TRC flashing, but I didn't do anything and its gone now. Right, I should get AFR gauge this or next week as latest.

So is the problem with pulley or injectors? I didn't have this issue with injectors, only happened when put 160mm pulley..
