Is200 filter engine light

Decided to change the filter to a much needed new one, TRD panel filter from fensport. The cars check engine light is now on and I have no idea why! Any help is much appreciated

Jesus.... Im was on my way to a mates about 60miles away engine light was on for about and hour.. stopped to reply and look at engine codes, turned the car back on and it's gone? Don't know whether to be happy or scared!

It could have been a bit of rubbish that fell in after you changed the filter, glad it's ok now

The engine will record a code if it sees a fault and store it.

If the fault goes away the light stays on for something like the next ten starts then if it's not come back it resets itself
