as some might know my old nemisis the headlight staying on is at war with me! since ive had the car (4years) my auto lights have never worked, and 2 years ago i had the headlight staying on, this was the second plug up on the drivers board wet, i dried out spayed and all was good for the last 2 years, a few days ago it has returned and i have aquired a new circuit board, fitted this 2day and the auto lights now work butt no dip lights , just side and fog, the dip still stayed on so i sprayed the plug with wd40 and loads of green and dirt was coming out of the plug, since then the dip and main beam dont work at all ( exept flashing) so im thinking it is the plug mabie nackerd inside , im thinking of replacing the plug with tiny spade conectors does anybody think this will work b4 i take hours more? many thanks guys hope it all makes sense.

you might be lucky and if you change it for spades it could work but if you go back to the same breakers youmight be able to cut the connector off and rewire it to your car....

yeah possibly a corroded connector which would indicate why some functions worked and didnt work etc
you could try taking each pin out 1 by 1 carefully and cleaning them with a small file

hmmm ummm have you checked continuity from the conector plate to the cable this can be done with a multimeter and a stanley knife
no need to cut the cable just use a sharp blade and hold the vable on the blade it will make a connection if there is continuity
