Got sent one of these in the post, it's a pay as you go SIM.........what I wanted to know is has this been sent out in a purely speculative manner and therefore I can just throw it in the bin, or is there something I will need to cancel before I chuck it.

The packaging seems to state that it's only activated when you put it in a phone and make a call, but just wanted to make sure that I haven't had an account set up or something.

if its just been sent, without you requesting it or providing details to have it, then it will require registration, was it sent in your name?

if it was me i would just chuck it, or even activate it, use the free credit which may be on and then chuck it

Ok definitely something weird going on, as well as the tesco SIM, over the last couple of weeks I've not received a T-mobile SIM and an O2 SIM.

They're all PAYG, so I'm guessing that if I do nothing it should be ok but still a little concerning.........

Weirdest part was that the T-mobile one was followed up by an email telling me about the benefits if I register the SIM I've just been sent.........

Is it just a case of them taking my details off some database, or should I dig a little deeper?

I initially thought it was just advertisement. Many people would just pop it into their phone , and then may start topping it up (Due to the ease of it being at their doorstep), but since you have recieved one from other various networks, maybe somebody has been messing about with your details?

Just signing you up in every shop or something? Or requesting them online to your adress...
